Description
Narrative
Vegetable soup and tomato soup get on very well together. Using a fixed number of ingredients will lead to a delicious and recognisable taste. A slice of tomato, a bit of carrot and cauliflower, a small pepper, a stalk of leek and a few little meat balls complete the colourful ensemble. The ladle turns in the right direction to get a perfect mixture and create harmonious order. But it seems that the combination of vegetables and tomatoes is not sufficient, what is the crab with mussel hands doing right there? Will he bring about the perfect triad with another approach and a particular taste?
* The references *
The three kinds of soup (vegetable, tomato and fish) represent the architects. Their collaboration gives a unique character to the way they carry out the vision of the company by means of their designs. The different ingredients form a recipe that can be compared to the architecture of a city, composed by the employees using their own flavour and colour whilst carrying out their assignment. The little green and red peppers represent the sharp knife edge on which conditions, permits and aesthetics balance with the heated negotiations with their customers. The turning of the ladle stands for the architects steering the correct course with their noses pointing in the same direction (teamwork). Love passes through the stomach, to eat is to feed. A meal can be seen as a breeding ground for energy.

Toyism Paintings
Toyism paintings are nothing if not bizarre but recognizable imageries drawn from reality, the surreal, and fantasy. The intense play of lines, shapes, dots and colors is intended to help open the viewer’s mind. And to critical thinking about the human condition in the present day world. Toyism is figurative, contemporary and based on a story. These stories can cover all kinds of subjects, from happy to critical or serious subjects. Toyism paintings are very labour intensive. Every painting consist of several layers of paint. Making the colours bright and vibrant and able to withstand the test of time.
Paintings are created by a mixed group of professional artists from around the world with diverse cultural backgrounds and working in various disciplines. Yet all artists have a like-minded view of how to experience this art and inspire each other. No matter their own backgrounds or beliefs, everyone can express themselves in this style without losing their own value or feeling. Therefore every toyist can influence and enrich the style. Hence toyists tell their own story and depict it.
