Narrative
Once a year, the world is upside down! Motors rumbling, fire crackling from the roaring engines. Hay bales piled up in the corner. Giacomo Agostini’s young eyes are fascinated by the bright colours and brilliant chrome. As he inhales, he smells the odor of burning rubber and roaring engines. Lured by the acclaimed winner, dreams of great victories on motorcycles that are so typical for young boys leak from the crackling exhaust pipes. Small helmets are growing up. Like fruit on the branches of fame, he fully qualifies as a full-pledged competitor to the old hands in the trade.
With his fast motorcycle he races through the bends. He overtakes the others on the left and right. Encouraged by a beautiful young woman, throwing kisses at him, he longs for more. When he finally arrives at the final curve, the skirts fly up by the power of his engine and he feels victory trobbing through his veins. Champaign corks pop out of the bottles and when he lays his head on the pillow next to his beautiful woman, he thinks: “Once a year, the world is upside down!”
